On Saturday, guitarist Warren Haynes, pianist John Medeski, bassist George Porter Jr., drummer Joe Russo, and saxophonist Karl Denson teamed up for a benefit concert at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The all-star performance was billed as “One Night Only…Again!” in relation to the group’s previous “One Night Only” benefit at Port Chester music theater last October. Proceeds from Saturday’s show will go to benefit The Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America (DEBRA of America).

Saturday’s show treated fans to a mix of covers, including the all-star band’s takes on The Allman Brothers‘ “Whipping Post”, Cream‘s “Politician”, Robert Johnson‘s “30-20 Blues”, James Brown‘s “The Payback”, The Meters‘ “It Ain’t No Use” and “Just Kissed My Baby”, and The Staple Singers‘ “Hammer and Nails” to name a few. A pair of songs from Haynes’ 2011 Man in Motion solo album was also added into the mix with “Sick Of My Shadow” and “River’s Gonna Rise”, in addition to Gov’t Mule‘s “Sco-Mule”.
