06.06.17 Gov’t Mule to Play London Bluesfest This October
BluesFest returns to the O2 for three days of must-see live music, including a special double bill show featuring Gov’t Mule and the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band.
Steeped in the roots and mystique of rock, blues, soul, and jazz, U.S. quartet Gov’t Mule are equally recognized for their stirring songwriting and storytelling as they are for the improvisational virtuosity that fuels their live performances. Their music has galvanized a fan base of millions around the world, making them one of the most timeless, revered and active bands in the world.
Joining them on the bill is Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his band. More than twenty years into his career, Shepherd has built a powerful reputation as one of the most talented and distinctive guitarists of his generation, and one the contemporary blues world’s leading lights. With millions of records sold worldwide, and seven No. 1 blues albums to his name, the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band makes for an exciting addition to this year’s BluesFest line-up.
Gov’t Mule and the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band join Daryl Hall & John Oates, Chris Isaak, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers on the bill for the 3-night event, which returns to The O2 from October 27th-29th.
Tickets for the show go on general sale at 10am on Friday 9th June at LiveNation.co.uk
