07.29.14 Gov’t Mule Adds Fall Dates To Their “20 Years Strong” U.S. Tour

Warren Haynes To Play Additional Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration August Shows

“…a sprawling double-album assault…” – ROLLING STONE

“…sinewy, long-suffering Southern rock…[the guests] bring out roots and affinities.” – NEW YORK TIMES

“ [Shout! is] packed with some of the most powerful songs the band has ever recorded…” – BILLBOARD

Gov’t Mule have added a slew of Fall dates to their “20 Years Strong” U.S. tour which has been bringing the band to select cities and festivals across North America. See the list of new U.S. dates below, which includes headlining shows from coast to coast and stops at The Peach Festival, Southern Brewers Festival, Phases of The Moon, Mighty Mississippi Music Festival and Southern Ground Music Festival. Please visit mule.net for on-sale and ticketing information.

Gov’t Mule is touring behind their current acclaimed double disc album Shout!, out now. It features 11 songs plus a bonus disc with a world class lineup of vocalists re-interpreting The Mule’s new songs. Special guests on the album are: Elvis Costello, Dr. John, Ben Harper, Toots Hibbert, Glenn Hughes, Jim James, Myles Kennedy, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, Vintage Trouble’s Ty Taylor and Steve Winwood. PRESS HERE to watch Gov’t Mule perform “Funny Little Tragedy” on Conan.

Additionally, Warren Haynes will once again be back on the road performing additional dates with the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration this August. This groundbreaking orchestral adventure, which initially launched last year with a hugely successful tour, is curated by the Garcia family. The shows feature Garcia’s storied original compositions as well as classic interpretations of timeless standards that were hallmarks of Jerry and the Grateful Dead's shows. Warren will lend his soul-soaked, introspective blend of rock, blues, R&B and jazz to Garcia's masterworks, as he brings an intimate knowledge of the material, having performed extensively with The Dead and Phil Lesh & Friends. The outing will pair Haynes with some of the country's most respected symphonies. A band assembled especially for the tour will accompany Haynes at all shows.
